PHOTOGRAMMETRIC STUDY ON THE FACE OF ADULT KOREAN FEMALE

Abstract
Photogrammetric and cephalometric analyses are important for the planning of maxillofacial
and aesthetic facial surgery. So, the knowledge of photogrammetric average values for lengths,
angles, inclinations and proportions of individual segments of the face is indispensable.
The purpose of this study is to determine such average values of adult Korean female.
We took measurements from standardized life-size photographs of 120 healthy, young adult
Korean Female.
The mean values are as follows ;
1. Lengths
Physiognomic facial height(Tr-Me) was 181.17mm, the forehead height(Tr-G) was 53.26mm, the upper face height(G-Sn) 64.34mm, the lower face height(Sn-Me) 63.48mm, and the upper lip height was 21.70mm.
The nose length(N-Sn) was 46.79mm, and the palpebral fissure height(Ps-Pi) was 7.88mm. The face width(Zy-Zy) was 136.13mm, the interocular distance(En-En) 34.54mm, the nose width(Al-Al) 36.18mm, and mouth width(Ch-Ch) was 43.99mm.
The ear length(Sa-Sba) was 60.24mm, the ear width(Pra-Pa) was 31.26mm and the palpebral fissure width(En-Ex) was 24.17mm.
